Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars (real name: Peter Hernandez), who did the current no. 3 Billboard Hot 100 hit ‘Just the Way You Are’, was arrested early Sunday morning in a bathroom at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas. He was performing Saturday at the Hard Rock’s Wasted Space nightclub.

Bruno was caught because he spent a long time in the bathroom stall prompting an attendant to alert hotel security. When he left, security came up to him and asked him to hand over any drugs he had. Mars gave them a baggie of coke and told the cop that he had never used drugs before. The cop rolled his eyes at him but was surprised Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton didn’t follow behind him.

It’s Bruno Mars’ own damn fault for being caught. He should know people get suspicious when they hear you violently sniff the air in a bathroom stall for 5 minutes. At the very least they’ll think you’re a big perverted weirdo.

Bounti Killer

THE St Andrew North Police last night confirmed the arrest of dancehall entertainer Rodney Pryce, more popularly known as Bounty Killer. Deputy Superintendent Altermoth Campbell, anti-crime boss at the Constant Spring Police Station, said the entertainer was picked up after a female companion turned up at the station bleeding and reported that he had assaulted her.

The incident occurred at his Oakland Apartments residence in St Andrew, police said. "She turned up here sometime after six and said that he used a hammer to beat her up," Campbell said, adding that the woman was badly bruised and scarred when she reported the incident.

He said that Pryce has been arrested and charged with wounding, and that he is in custody. He said Pryce should go before the courts sometime this week. In April this year, Pryce spent two weeks behind bars after being arrested by the Constant Spring police for beating up his girlfriend. At the time, police reported that while Pryce was being processed he called the woman and threatened her life in their presence. The complainant, Kadeem Baker, eventually dropped the charges against Pryce.

Buju Banton

The drug trail of Jamaican reggae singer Buju Banton has begun in the USA in Tampa Florida.

The 37 year old star stands accused of drug trafficking and carrying an illegal weapon, charges he denies and if found guilty could be staring down the barrel of a life sentence.

The saga began to unfold when Banton met with one Alexander Johnson on a flight to Miami from Spain following a tour of Europe last year and according to assistant US attorney James Preston he was eager to work with the Johnson.

Government attorneys have alleged Banton was already an established drug trafficker before the night of December eighth last year when he attempted to buy cocaine from a man who turned out to be an undercover officer in Florida. The meeting was recorded on video tape.

Buju’s attorney David Markus said his client may have talked about drug deals with the informant but insisted he was not a participant in any conspiracy to sell cocaine saying in his opening statements "Yes, Buju talked a lot," and added "Yes, he tasted that cocaine. No, he wasn't a drug dealer. He wasn't part of the deal." He admitted that Banton’s tasting of the cocaine on his finger in Sarasota Florida was a mistake but said Banton-real name Mark Myrie- would take the stand in the trial as he had nothing to hide.

Two co-defendants in the case have pleaded guilty and have consented to testify against Banton.

Referring to Johnson the reggae stars attorney went on to point out that he had been importing cocaine from Columbia to the US until 1994 when he was arrested. He further commented on the deal he subsequently struck with the relevant authorities resulting in him serving just three years in jail for the offence and the monies he went on to earn from working with various agencies of law enforcement in the years that ensued totalling up to 3.3 million dollars, over $50.000 of which came from the Banton case itself.

The attorney said Johnson had never worked and was instead in the business of setting people up. He will try to establish that his client was a victim of entrapment.

Banton who has been criticised in the past for his anti-gay lyrics and was born in the poor town of Salt Lane near the Jamaican capital of Kingston has been remanded in custody since his December arrest last year. The trial continues.

Floyd Mayweather (The ULTIMATE Baby Mama Drama)

Boxer Floyd "Money" Mayweather, Jr (41-0) is receiving additional charges from the Clark County District Attorney's (DA) office in Las Vegas, Nevada in connection with last week's domestic violence incident with Josie Harris, mother of Mayweather's children.

The troubled boxer now faces seven charges including three felony counts of grand larceny, robbery, and coercion. Additionally, four misdemeanors include battery and three counts of harrasment, according to the local DA. If convicted on all charges, Mayweather faces up to 28 years in Nevada prison.

Mayweather allegedly threatened to kill both Josie Harris and her supposed boyfriend, Chicago Bulls guard C.J. Watson. (Watson denies the relationship.) The boxer also faces charges that he threatened his sons not to call the police and not to leave the boxer's Las Vegas mansion, where the incident took place.

Harris, who alleges that the boxer took her iPhone, was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

The previous week, Mayweather made a racist and homophobic online video aimed at his rival, Filipino boxer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao (51-3-2). Filipino-American groups around the United States and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) condemned the American boxer's tirade.

Earlier this week, Mayweather's fiance, Shantel Jackson, announced on her Twitter account that the couple will be wed sometime in January 2011.

Floyd Mayweather Arrested

Las Vegas Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. of Grand Rapids has been arrested in Las Vegas on a felony theft charge stemming from a domestic violence complaint by his ex-girlfriend.

Mayweather, 33, was booked on a grand larceny charge at the Clark County jail and held on $3,000 bail, Las Vegas police Officer Bill Cassell said.

Mayweather’s lawyer, Richard Wright, said Mayweather is accused of taking an iPhone from Josie Harris, his ex-girlfriend and mother of three of his children.

“He surrendered,” Wright said, denying the allegations against Mayweather.

“He did not commit any grand larceny,” Wright told The Associated Press. “Josie can’t find her iPhone. We’re attempting to find it or replace it. We’ll cooperate in the investigation. We expect to get the matter resolved.”

Harris made a police complaint and sought a Family Court protection order Thursday alleging Mayweather pulled her hair, punched her in the head and twisted her arm while she screamed for their children, ranging in age from 7 to almost 11, to call 911.

Police said Thursday that Harris was treated at a Las Vegas hospital for minor injuries.

“Please order Floyd Mayweather to not try and contact me,” Harris wrote in an application for a protection order that said the couple separated in May after living together for seven years.

“Floyd has threatened to have other people do harm to me as well and if there is a way I can be protected from that please help me,” the document says.

Mayweather is undefeated as a professional fighter and is considered one of the sport’s top performers, with a record of 41-0 and 25 knockouts. He goes by the nickname “Money” and earned more than $20 million in May from his fight in Las Vegas against “Sugar” Shane Mosley.

Mayweather has also been arrested several times over the years on battery and assault allegations.

One year after Kanye West stole Taylor Swift's thunder in epic fashion at the MTV Video Music Awards, the attention seeker is at it again, however, this time she's fighting back.

Taylor is the first female solo artist in country music history to write or co-write every song on a platinum-selling, self-titled debut album. In addition, Swift wrote or co-wrote every song on her blockbuster 'Fearless' album, which has sold more than 5 million copies.

"It's just another insult that this fool thinks she would sing a song he wrote," a friend of Taylor's tells me. "His ego is out of control. If anything, Kanye should be singing a song that Taylor wrote, not the other way around. As far as Taylor is concerned, he can take his song and shove it."

Drugs found in a car with rapper T.I. when he was arrested were ecstasy, US reports claim. The rapper and his wife, Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle, were in a car on Sunset Strip in Hollywood when it was stopped by police for performing an illegal U-turn. Law enforcement sources say that tests on pills found in the car.
